Welcome to the new website of
The Weed Society of Queensland, one of the seven member
societies of the
Council of
Australasian Weed Societies (CAWS).
Recent News
The
Pest Animal Branch of the Weed Society of Queensland (PAB-WSQ) was
formerly established at a recent WSQ executive meeting. Anyone who is interested in
pest animals and their management can become a member by simply filling
out the
Membership Form. Membership entitles you to participate in all activities, receive the quarterly newsletter
and entitles you to discounts
on registration fees for the Queensland Pest Animal Symposium, Queensland Weed Symposium and the
Australasian Weeds Conference.
Papers from many of the past Australian Weeds Conferences
are now available as downloadable pdfs from the CAWS website at
http://www.caws.org.au.
The Grow Me Instead guides for Queensland were launched on
5th November. This initiative of the Nursery and Garden Industry Australia
(NGIA) was developed with input from WSQ members. Separate guides have
been produced for the Sub Tropics, Dry Tropics and Wet Tropics bioregions.
For more information, or to download the guides, go to the Grow Me Instead
website at http://www.growmeinstead.com.au.
