Three months notice will be given to the team prior to the QWS dinner to allow a representative to prepare a presentation.

The Award

The team will have their name engraved on the 'The George N. Batianoff Award' perpetual trophy and may display the perpetual trophy at their place of business until the next Queensland Weeds Symposium.

The team will also receive a certificate for each team member.

Conditions, Timing and General Considerations

The Weed Society of Queensland (WSQ) aims to foster interest and involvement in weed and pest animal science and management by granting funds to assist individuals or groups to conduct activities or attend conferences, symposia, etc. WSQ also seeks to recognise achievement in weed and pest animal science and management through several awards. All awards and grants presented or committed in the previous year will be detailed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the WSQ. The total value of all awards, grants and sponsorships will not exceed $10,000 in any one financial year. The WSQ executive may decide not to call for, or grant, any funds in any particular financial year. In the event no sufficiently meritorious submissions are received for any award, no award will be made.
